January 2025

Dear Circular Economy Community,

Welcome back – and happy new year! The new commissioners are now in office and our ECESP Coordination Group has written to them to say that it is keen to work with them. The circular economy is high on this Commission’s agenda so we can look forward to positive developments.

2025 will be a very circular year, in fact: the circular economy will be a key theme at Expo 2025 Osaka and of course the World Circular Economy Forum will be exploring tropical solutions for sustainable growth, the power of the regenerative economy and bioeconomy strategies in Brazil in May. Plenty of opportunities to foster the circular economy and learn more about how to implement circular practices both personally and professionally.

We will be organising EUCTs and adding items to our website. The ECESP is very much a bottom-up initiative so we rely on stakeholders to contribute content: do let us know about your circular initiatives!
