The
European Economic and Social Committee (EESC)
and the
European Committee of the Regions (CoR)
will co-host the interinstitutional kick-off event
for the European Cybersecurity Month
2024.
The European Cybersecurity Month (ECSM) is an annual campaign held every October across Europe. It aims to raise awareness about cybersecurity threats and promote digital security and cyber hygiene. EU institutions play a crucial role in educating citizens and organizations on how to prevent these risks.
The theme of this 12th edition will be
social engineering: attempts to
exploit human error or behaviour to gain
unauthorized access to information or
services.
The ECSM kick-off event, featuring engaging discussions, interactive exhibition stands, live demonstrations, and hands-on training sessions, will take place from 2 to 4 October in Brussels.
- Day 1: Opening session and
panel discussions with speakers from different
EUIBAs.
- Day 2: Discussion on realities,
challenges and best practices of
cities and regions with
contributions from local and regional leaders.
- Day 3: Discussions highlighting
the perspective and issues faced by
civil society organisations.
Onsite attendance is reserved for staff of the
EUIBAs. Online participation will be possible via
webstreaming for everyone
interested. Registration will open in September.
